Easter Zinfandel Born on Easter Morning with a blaze and a high white stocking
Easter is Zinnie’s first Half Morgan cross!
Update: Well, as all young ones grow so has this colt and on his first birthday, Easter measured almost 15 hands tall and guesstimated around 800 lbs. He certainly got mother’s height and sunny, puppy dog disposition. The Morgan characteristics of a deep, broad chest and beautifully arched neck with small head and pronounced jowl are easily visible. He also got his sire’s mane with a mix of gray and flaxen. Easter, unlike his sire, is fire engine red, and quite flashy with his white face, white leg, and lighter mane and tail. His disposition couldn’t be any better if he tried. He’s forever following people around the pasture and will leave his buddies to come to the fence and get attention if some one so much as blinks his direction.
Easter is not for sale.
Dialavero a registered American Paint Horse sorrel overo mare who has both Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred breeding. She is tall and lanky but carries a decent amount of muscle. I didn’t get color like I wanted but he’s pretty gosh darn precious anyway! There is a slight chance his belly will show up with a white spot since it is so light colored I can’t tell but probably not.
This foal should be the best of both worlds. If the mare has any faults, they would be a large head, shallow chest, and long back. Those three things are among Zinnie’s best assets! The foal should make an excellent English prospect, especially jumping or dressage. Both parents have awesome dispositions so they should pass that on as well.
If you have any questions on this foal, please just ask! .
